Why Juniper

The name comes from the Juniperus osteosperma; a tree that shatters the mold of expectations.

Down in the valley, the pines seem to have it easy. They have more water available and easy-access soil. They grow close together, and each one takes the same shape as the tree beside it. From a distance it looks like belonging. Up close, there is barely room for any single branch to reach somewhere it was not already expected to go.

Many people spend years trying to grow like a valley pine. They follow the path they were handed, do what seems to fit everyone else, and wait for it to start feeling right. Somewhere along the way, they notice it never quite does. The unspoken rules that others seem to follow so easily feel confusing, or heavy, or quietly exhausting, and they quietly start to wonder if something is wrong with them.

Nothing is wrong with you.

The juniper lives on open rock, exposed to wind and long dry seasons, with no crowd around it to copy. So it learned to listen to its own ground. Its roots reach deep and wide to find water other trees would never find. When drought comes, it can let one branch go quiet so the rest of the tree keeps living. Its trunk twists, its branches spread low, and it can stand on the same stone for hundreds of years.

None of that shape was chosen to stand out. It is simply what honest expression looks like in the place it was given. If life has not turned out the way you were told it would, that does not mean you failed. It may mean you are seeing that the mold you were taught isnt right for you.

The pieces you tucked away were never too much.

You are more resilient than you have been told, more adaptable than you realize, and more beautiful in your own form than any row of identical trees could ever be.

If you can entertain the idea that your suffering isn’t necessary, let’s get you aligned.
